Have you ever found that even though we’re a diverse bunch that we all have the same needs?

Namely: acceptance, inclusion, kindness and appreciation for who we truly are.

Agreed? Let’s drink to that!

Where? The pub! It’s a place where mates meet, drinks are drunk and friendships are forged.

But how often have we heard that pubs are not good for us?

Well, perhaps we need to revisit that statement.

After all, it’s alcohol that, if not in moderation, can harm us. And it’s joy, laughter, friendships and good people within a pubs walls who can be great for us.

I have found that pubs are the hubs of the Aussie towns and communities.

And right now we all need our communities.

So what makes a community great?

It starts with the desire to care for one another and each other’s mental health.

And then it’s about giving people the tools to improve their life.

Let’s start with emotional honesty.
